WHAT IS IN A KIT?

A typical kit contains roof sheets, beams, posts, brackets, connectors, fixings, guttering, (concrete if in footings), downpipes and flashings along with roof plan construction drawings that detail specific instructions manual relevant to your project.

DO I NEED TO PAY FOR MY KIT WHEN I CHECK OUT ONLINE?

You have two convenient payment options: 1. Pay in Full Online: Simply select the Pay in Full option at checkout to complete your payment via the website. 2. Pay on Invoice: Choose Pay on Invoice at checkout if you’d prefer to receive an invoice. Our team will then contact you and provide the invoice directly. If you’d like to pay a 40% deposit, please select the Pay on Invoice option during checkout - we’ll arrange the deposit and balance payment with you.

CAN WE BUILD IN CYCLONIC AREAS?

Yes, all kits on the website have the wind rating listed and, at a minimum are rated to N1/N2. However, a cyclonic wind rating requires special engineering as they need to be designed and engineered to accommodate the cyclonic wind ratings up to C4. WHAT IS A SKILLION ROOF?

This is known as a flat roof and only has a fall of two degrees (40mm in every metre of roof). This type of roof is ideal under the gutter, attached to a wall or as an insulated flyover being the most popular option. The skillion roof is a simple and economical design that can help overcome a number of challenges that you may face when adding a new outdoor space to your home.

WHAT IS A FLYOVER ROOF?

Ideal if you are wanting to gain an extra 600mm (approx.) in height and have extra light and ventilation into your patio/carport area. It is also perfect if you are wanting to install a fan to keep you even cooler on those hot summer still days. A flyover roof can be installed on either a tile or a Colorbond roof and will be attached to your house roof and wall frame using Extenda Brackets.

WHAT IS A FREESTANDING ROOF?

Exactly as it says, this type of roof is not attached to anything and will have a minimum of four 90mm x 90mm posts concreted into 1m footings in the ground. They can also be bolted to a slab with a 90mm x 90mm post with a 250mm x 250mm plate welded at the bottom.

CAN DOWNLIGHTS AND FANS BE INSTALLED IN A KIT?

Yes, they can however they can only be installed in an insulated panel. Please note that there are NO holes pre-drilled in the insulated panels. Your electrician will need to do this during the installation process. We offer Smart WIFI LED downlights or our standard LED downlights (3 colour selection) and details of these can be found on the kit pages. If the patio or carport is above 2.4m in height, you can also install a fan however the best roof is an flyover option if you are wanting to install a fan or roofs above 2.7m in high for wall or fascia mounted patios, pergola and awnings. NB: You will need to engage a licensed electrician to install all lighting, fans and power points.

DO YOUR PRODUCTS COME WITH EVERYTHING I NEED FOR INSTALLATION?

Yes! Our patio, pergola, carport and awning products include all the required parts and hardware you need to assemble them. We’ll provide installation instructions, engineering and a plan of the structure. We also have a YouTube site where you can view some installation videos. Please note: our special carport kits do not come supplied with concrete, this will be your responsibility to source.

DO I NEED COUNCIL APPROVAL FOR MY KIT?

Yes, however you will need to get in contact with your local council to ascertain the requirements for installing a patio or carport. We will provide you with the required engineering, form 15 and a plan for the patio/carport kit order but it is your responsibility to ensure council approval is sought.

HOW LONG DOES DELIVERY TAKE?

All materials are made specifically for your requirements and we therefore endeavour to deliver all materials within 3-5 weeks from the date of order (in most situations, it is generally within 3 weeks) however this is dependant on stock availability and powder coating requirements. If you have a specific date in mind that you need your materials for, please contact our office on 1300 156 381 and they will be able to advise of the lead time for your order.

WILL I BE KEPT UP-TO-DATE WITH THE PROGRESS OF MY ORDER?

IS THERE A WARRANTY ON YOUR PRODUCTS?

Yes, all our patios and carports products have a 15-year manufacturer’s warranty which gives you peace of mind with your purchase. NOTE: All our DIY kits supplied via this website are for standard materials only. If you live within 1km from the water, please contact us at orders@onlinepatios.com.au or 1300 156 381 and we will provide you with quotation for our Marine Plus product. The warranty on Marine Plus is site specific and therefore may differ from the 15 year warranty listed above. NB: The standard material at Online Patios Pty Ltd and www.onlinepatios.com.au used within 1km of salt water is entirely at the owners risk. The warranty does not apply to any items damaged by you in the process of construction. Online Patios Pty Ltd will not be liable for any damage sustained in the construction process.

DO I NEED PROFESSIONAL INSTALLATION?

Our products are designed for do-it yourself installation by the homeowner. Although many homeowners have successfully installed their own patio, pergola and carport without help, we do recommend engaging a professional tradesperson for installation. If you are unsure or want additional peace of mind. With our detailed drawings and installation guides, installing one of our high-quality kits is achievable as a DIY project. We are always happy to answer any questions and provide guidance to help you complete your installation smoothly.

DO YOU TAKE CARE OF COUNCIL PERMITS, RELAXATIONS AND PLANS?

No. You will need to arrange this yourself with your own private Certifier. We will however provide you with the required engineering, Form 15 and a plan of the patio/carport kit ordered. Each State within Australia has its differing requirements when it comes to installing a class 10a structure, therefore we recommend you contact your local council to obtain the correct information in regards to size and setback requirements etc.

CAN I CANCEL MY ORDER AFTER IT HAS BEEN PLACED?

If you cancel within 24 hours of placing your order, we can provide a full refund. After this time, as your materials are custom made and will have been sent to manufacture, no refunds will be permitted.

If you have any specific requirements for delivery, at the front of your property, you will need to notify us as soon as possible. Most deliveries are made by a crane truck with a reach of 12m so please take this into consideration when notifying us. Also, as per the above, any permits, relaxations etc. will need to be organised by you before you begin construction.
