Insulated Patio & Carport Kits

An insulated patio roof keeps your outdoor area cooler in summer, warmer in winter and much quieter when it rains. Each insulated roof panel combines a steel roof, an insulating foam core and a smooth finished ceiling in one, so there's no separate ceiling to install, and it's ideal for downlights and fans (installed by a licensed electrician). Every kit below is a complete DIY insulated patio or carport kit, engineered for its listed wind rating, with the engineering and a plan of your kit for your approval.

Choose your insulated kit style

• Insulated flyover kits: the roof is raised above your gutter for extra height and airflow. From $4,435 (3 x 3m).
• Insulated fascia attached kits: fixed to your metal fascia or timber fascia. From $2,975 (3 x 2m).
• Insulated wall attached kits: fixed to a masonry wall or timber wall.
• Insulated freestanding kits: stand on their own posts, anywhere on your block. From $4,680 (3 x 3m).
• Insulated gable kits: a classic pitched roof with extra height in the middle.

Panel thickness

Insulated roof panels come in thicknesses from 50mm to 200mm. The thickness in each kit is set by the engineering for its span. The thicker panels need to be specifically engineered for the area where they'll be installed. Buying panels only? See our insulated roof panels, sold by the metre.

What does an insulated patio roof cost?

An insulated roof costs roughly 25–30% more than a V-Line single skin roof of the same size. For example, a 6 x 4m patio attached to the house starts from $5,750 insulated, compared with $4,410 in V-Line. See real prices by size and style in our patio and carport cost guide, or compare the two roofs in insulated vs V-Line roofing.

Every kit is bespoke: choose the exact size you need, and the kit can be changed any way you like as long as the engineering is met. Want to close in the sides too? Please note: photos are for illustration only. The images on our website show examples of what you can achieve with our kits, and some may include features or finishes that aren't supplied with the kit, such as timber posts, lighting or decking. Your kit includes the items listed in the kit contents on each product page. For example, we don't supply timber posts, but you can choose the "No Posts" option and supply your own (as long as they meet your kit's engineering) to get the look shown in the photo.
