Collection: Freestanding insulated Kits

A freestanding roof, as described, is a standalone structure that is not attached to any existing building or wall. Here are the key features and characteristics of a freestanding roof:

Independence: Unlike roofs attached to houses or other structures, a freestanding roof stands on its own.

Support Structure: The roof is supported by a minimum of four posts, each typically measuring 90mm x 90mm. These posts are anchored into the ground with concrete footings providing stability and strength to the structure.

Alternative Mounting Option: Alternatively, the freestanding roof can be bolted to a concrete slab using a post with a welded base plate (250mm x 250mm) at the bottom.

Materials: Two options are available:

The insulated roofing is an innovative 3-in-1 roofing system that provides a roof, insulation, and pre-finished ceiling in one modular product. With superior spanning capabilities and thermal properties, it is ideal for residential, industrial and commercial projects. Not only is it lightweight and fast to install, but it’s also cost-effective, requiring fewer support beams, no additional ceiling layers and fewer trades compared to other roofing alternatives. Insulated roofing is a versatile building material that can be used in various applications, from transportable buildings, educational and mining facilities, to outdoor patios, carports, awnings and walkways. Available in a variety of profiles, thicknesses, and colours, the insulated roofing provides superb design flexibility to meet your project requirements.

The V-Line Single Skin sheets have an interlocking roofing system designed specifically for outdoor structures and features a high gloss ceiling finish with an aesthetically pleasing VJ appearance. They are made from high quality 0.42 or 0.48 steel and are available in a range of colours to complement your existing colour scheme.

Versatility: Freestanding roofs are versatile and can be used for various purposes such as shading outdoor living areas, protecting your car from the elements or keeping you cool by the pool.

Design Flexibility: Since it is not attached to a building, there is more flexibility in the design and placement of a freestanding roof. It can be positioned to maximise shade by the pool, the views from your property or integration with other landscape features.

Installation Considerations: Proper installation involves ensuring that the posts are securely anchored into the ground or bolted to a slab. This ensures the structural integrity and longevity of the freestanding roof.

Overall, a freestanding roof is a practical solution for adding shelter and architectural interest to outdoor spaces without the need for attachment to existing structures. It provides flexibility in design and usage, making it suitable for a wide range of residential, commercial, and recreational applications.
